Clark terms of service

Effective November 3, 2026.

About Clark

Clark is an AI news editor made by Inward Journeys, Inc. Clark picks and writes short news stories for you, with links to their sources, and can make an audio show from the stories you choose. It's an early, free, invite-only service, in English, available in the United States.

Your account

You must be 18 or older and have an invitation. You can sign in with an email code, Apple or Google. Keep your sign-in codes private, and don't share invitations in a way that gets around the invite limit. If you think someone else has used your account, write to support@readclark.com.

Free, for now

There are no payments, subscriptions or ads in this release, and we'll never charge you for it after the fact. If we offer a paid service later, we'll explain its price and terms, and you'll choose whether to join.

Features may change, and news can be late, incomplete or unavailable. If we ever pause or close Clark, we'll try to tell you first and explain how to get a copy of your data.

AI, accuracy and advice

Clark is an AI: its stories and show voices are made by AI. AI can misread a source, leave out context or get a fact wrong, and a person doesn't check every story before you see it. Read the original sources before relying on a story.

Clark is news, not medical, mental-health, financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it isn't an emergency service. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

If a story is wrong, tell us at support, with the headline and date. We'll look into it.

What you tell Clark

What you tell Clark stays yours. You let us use it only to run Clark for you, to answer you and to keep the service working, as our privacy policy explains. We don't own it, and we never sell it.

Only share what you're entitled to share: don't include other people's private information, and don't record anyone else on a call with Clark without their permission. We may use your suggestions to improve Clark.

Using Clark fairly

Don't access another reader's account or data, pretend to be someone else, get around our access controls, disrupt the service, send unlawful or harassing material, or use Clark to get around a publisher's paywall. Don't copy or resell Clark at scale. None of this takes away rights the law gives you.

Publishers' work

Publishers own their journalism, images and names. Clark writes its own stories with links to the sources and doesn't offer the full articles. A link doesn't give you permission to reuse a publisher's work; their own terms apply on their sites. Clark is for your personal reading and listening.

Publishers and rights holders can write to support@readclark.com with the subject "Publisher request", the story or link, and their concern. We review attribution, correction and removal requests.

Stopping and deleting

You can stop using Clark any time, and delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account). Deleting the app from your phone doesn't delete your account. Deletion works as our privacy policy describes. We may pause an account for misuse, security or legal reasons; where we can, we'll tell you why and how to reach us if we got it wrong.

Our responsibility

Clark is an early service, and we can't promise it will always be available, complete or accurate. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can't be limited.

Changes and contact

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change applies. Questions, account help or corrections: support@readclark.com. See support and privacy.
